Debatreeks: Anders werken aan wonen
Nederland staat voor een complexe woonopgave. In het licht hiervan organiseert Amateur Cities vanaf het najaar van 2023 een drietal publieksevents rond het thema Anders werken aan wonen, als onderdeel van het gelijknamige programma van het Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie.
Binnen het programma Anders werken aan wonen worden 15 projecten ontwikkeld, waarin wordt onderzocht hoe de Nederlandse woonopgave duurzaam, inclusief én vanuit de huidige en toekomstige woonbehoeften kan worden aangepakt. In de drie events haken we hierop aan, en reflecteren we op de vernieuwende perspectieven, strategieën en oplossingen die deze projecten in een bredere context kunnen tonen. De reeks zal plaatsvinden op drie verschillende locaties in Nederland met focus op de thema’s: Vormgeven aan (samen)leven, Bouwen met een langdurig perspectief, en Alternatieven voor woning eigenaarschap. De tweede event staat gepland voor 8 februari, dus save the date!
Naast de debatten verschijnt er een serie tweetalige publicaties, waarmee we de discussie zowel naar een Nederlands als een internationaal publiek willen vertalen. Houd dus onze nieuwsbrief en socials in de gaten.

To address its housing crisis, the Netherlands aims to build one million houses until 2030. To foster debate on how to address this complex challenge, Amateur Cities is organizing a series of three public events starting in the fall of 2023. The series is developed as a part of the program Anders werken aan wonen (Working differently on housing) by the Creative Industries Fund NL.
Within this four-year program, 15 research by design projects are to be developed, exploring how the Dutch housing can be developed in a sustainable and inclusive way, taking into account both current and future housing needs. In the three events we will reflect on innovative perspectives, strategies and solutions that these projects present.
The series will take place at three different locations in the Netherlands with a focus on the themes: Shaping (Co)living, Building with a Long-term Perspective, and Alternatives to Home Ownership. The second event is scheduled for Feb. 8, so save the date!
The event series will be held in Dutch, but along with the events we will publish bi-lingual reports to bring the discussions to both Dutch and international audience. So keep an eye out on our newsletter and socials.
